Lab148 is a work cooperative dedicated to media installations.
Co-creation and prototyping
We offer support in the early innovation phases of digital experience production. Through a co-creation and technological prototyping process, we actively contribute to your projects to bring them to unique experimental territories. When you work with us, you receive custom documentation as well as assistance for future hiring and partner research.
- Technological prototyping
Through a collective ideation process and technology watch, we help you develop digital experience concepts, technical architectures, as well as the preparation of prototyping steps: roadmap, financial arrangement, and partnership search.
We work with you to develop customized software and hardware prototypes. Our advanced knowledge of IT systems enables us to produce effective proofs of feasibility. For your existing systems, we propose and validate optimization hypotheses, taking into account your integration constraints.
Our technological and artistic watch enables us to offer you training on the latest possibilities offered by emerging technologies, as well as by the technologies we develop for the digital creation community.
Who are we?
We are a team of artist-researchers dedicated to the realization of digital experience projects. Our main technological strengths are sound and video immersion, telepresence, technological assemblies and interactivity.
The Lab148 team has been working for over 10 years on behalf of producers, artist collectives, artist-run centers and university laboratories.
Our artistic practices and professional experiences have made us effective in developing and modifying atypical technological tools and assemblies.
